A Hidden Angel is a child who is not forgotten.
The Tender Hearts “Smile” Program was created to bring joy, comfort, and encouragement to children during difficult times. Our goal is simple: to place a smile on a child’s face and remind them that they are loved, valued, and remembered.
While there are many children who could benefit from a caring gesture, this program specifically serves children residing in Delaware who are currently hospitalized. These may include children who:
- Receive few or no visitors
- Are wards of the state
- Have parents or family members who are unable to visit regularly
- Are celebrating a milestone occasion while in the hospital
- Have been recommended by hospital staff, a parent, guardian, caregiver, or close friend for special circumstances
Through this program, Tender Hearts provides thoughtful care baskets designed to brighten a child’s day and bring comfort during their hospital stay.

Care Basket Delivery
A Tender Hearts representative may personally deliver a care basket directly to the child whenever possible. Each basket is thoughtfully prepared with the intention of bringing happiness, encouragement, and a smile to a child who needs it most.
Together, we can remind every child that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.
